 Transfer Opportunities

The Associate of Arts degree is awarded for completion of college-level coursework that is transferable toward a baccalaureate degree. The caste plan includes a 35-hour land minimum general education cadre curriculum canonical past the Arkansas Section of Higher Pedagogy. In order to receive an Associate of Arts from EACC, students must fulfill all General Degree Requirements listed in the catalog. In addition, the Acquaintance of Arts requires completion of at least 15 semester hours of sophomore (2000) level courses, with at least vi of the xv hours of sophomore credit earned at EACC.

General education grade(south) listed within the Arkansas Course Transfer Arrangement (ACTS) will be accepted for transfer to the receiving institution. ACTS provides data regarding guaranteed transfer of courses between Arkansas public institutions. ACTS is benign for students, parents, and academic advisers because it provides authentic, up-to-date comparable course data for educational planning and informed decision-making.

Transfer credit policy under Arkansas Act 182 from 2009 requires a four-year public institution of higher didactics in Arkansas to accept all credits earned from students earning an Associate of Arts, Associate of Scientific discipline or Associate of Arts in Teaching degree from a country-supported public institution in Arkansas.

Major stipulations of Deed 182 are outlined below:

  • The transfer caste contains the curriculum that is approved past the Arkansas College Pedagogy Coordinating Board.

  • The receiving four-year public institution of higher education shall make up one's mind whether to take a grade of "D" for academic form credit for a student transferring from a 2-year public institution of higher.

Students should be prepared to submit course descriptions and syllabi of transfer work if at that place is whatsoever question concerning acceptance of credit toward a caste plan.
